Cymbrogi Haven

Cymbrogi Haven was established by Annette “Nettie” Saunders in 1995. Nettie has received her ARIA (American Riding Instructor’s Association) certification to teach Level III (beginner through advanced) Dressage and Hunt Seat riders. The Cymbrogi Haven riding academy was started as a teaching program for riders of all levels and ages. The goal of this program is to teach multiple aspects of horsemanship from correct equitation and training methods, to proper horse care, to successful competition on both the local and the national levels. Competition is not a requirement here, but it is an option for those who are interested. What is required is a genuine interest in and care for the horses. That is what brings us all together. The word “Cymbrogi” is a very old Welsh word that means “companions of the heart”. “Haven” is just what it means, a safe place. What is hoped to have been created here is a safe place were everyone is welcomed into a positive atmosphere to learn (and make mistakes!) and enjoy these amazing creatures. Cymbrogi Haven is honored to have been allowed to work out of a top-notch state of the art facility, Joli Cheval, in Mint Hill, NC. Together we have seen a wonderful recipe for success!
